Earlier this week, Waterford FC’s DS Futsal side were invited to attend a Mayoral Reception to recognise the squad’s achievements in recent months.
Back in November of 2025, our DS Futsal side took part in the annual Cardenas Cup that took place in Abbotstown, where they were crowned Cairdeas Championship Cup winners after putting on some excellent performances throughout the day.
To celebrate this achievement, the Blues squad were invited to the Waterford city Hall by Mayor Seamus Ryan this week to commemorate this event along with their coaches & families.
Waterford FC Head of Community Development Colin Power was honoured to share the day with the DS Futsal squad at the Mayoral reception, saying:
“Thank you to Mayor Seamus Ryan for honouring the lads on their fantastic achievement and everybody in City Hall for the warm welcome. It was a great occasion and the players will remember the day for years to come. I would also like to thank everyone who came on the day and in particular Megan Lynch who organised the event.”
