Match details have been confirmed for our 2026 Grandon’s Toyota Munster Senior Cup semi-final against Rockmount AFC.
For the third time in as many years, the Blues have been paired against Munster Senior league side Rockmount AFC in the Grandon’s Toyota Munster Senior Cup.
2024 saw both clubs meet at the semi-final stage at SETU Arena, where the Blues prevailed on a 3-0 scoreline. Calum Flynn & Romeo Akachukwu gave the young Waterford side a 2-0 lead at half-time, before Dylan Warren added a third mid-way through the first-half to ensure our place in the 2024 final – a final that saw Waterford earn their 15th Munster Senior Cup thanks to a 2-1 extra-time win over Kerry FC at Turners Cross.
Last season, after the Blues beat Treaty United 4-2 in the second round of the competition, we were drawn to face Rockmount away from home in Rockmount Park last April, where a first-half goal from Adam Crowley gave the Munster Senior League side a place in the 2025 final against Cobh Ramblers in Turners Cross. First-half goals from Shane Griffin & David Bosnjak gave Cobh the trophy at full-time.
Now for a third consecutive season, the Blues will face off against Rockmount, this time at the semi-final stage again, looking to return a second Munster Senior Cup final in three years.
Match Details
We will host Rockmount AFC at Ben Wadding Park next Tuesday (17th February), with kick-off set for 8pm against the Munster Senior League side.
