Waterford FC are excited to confirm that Supermac’s will once again be the Blues’ back-of-shirt sponsor for the 2026 League of Ireland season.
The well-known Irish restaurant chain has proudly sponsored the Blues for the past three years initially backing our Men’s team as the back-of-shirt sponsor; they have now extended their support to our Women’s side, marking its second year of partnership.
Supermac’s first opened its doors in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway in 1978, and first came to Waterford in 1991. There are now 3 Supermac’s in the city – one in Barronstrand Street, Dunmore Road & Cork Road beside the Waterford FC Club Shop at Kingsmeadow Retail Park near the RSC.
The family-owned company currently employs over 4,000 people throughout the country. Supermac’s also operates Papa John’s, SuperSubs and Mac’s Place Diners and has helped to set-up over 50 successful franchisees throughout the country.
The Só Hotel Group and the Plaza Group of service stations are also owned by Pat and Una McDonagh.
