We are delighted to announce Kaytlin Conroy as our latest signing, as she joins ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division campaign.

The 18 year-old winger makes the move to the RSC from Shamrock Rovers where she spent the last three years.

Conroy began her footballing career with her local schoolgirls club Moyne Rangers, before a spell with Bridge Rovers in Wexford. After impressing here, she earned a move to Shamrock Rovers where she got her first taste of League of Ireland academy football.

After two years at U17 level, she made the step up to U19 level in 2025 where Kaytlin’s side finished the year runners up in the league. During her time at Shamrock Rovers, Kaytlin won a league & cup double at U17 level along with winning the Vase final against Glasgow Rangers in 2023 in a tournament in Northern Ireland.

She also travelled to Scotland with Shamrock Rovers and face sides such as Celtic, Hearts, Crusaders, Linfield, along with the Northern Ireland National team.

More recently, Conroy has shone at college level with SETU Carlow, where she fired in 8 goals in 8 games as her college side came runners up in the league phase to Maynooth, as she continues her football scholarship alongside her football.

Speaking to the club after signing for 2026, Kaytlin spoke of her eagerness to come to the Blues, saying:

“It felt like the right time for a new challenge and I’m excited to be part of what Gary and the team are building here in Waterford. Everyone has been really welcoming and it’s a great environment to step into. I’m eager to show what I can contribute to the team and looking forward to the first day out in the RSC against Wexford next week.”

Waterford Head Coach Gary Hunt is delighted to secure the services of Conroy for 2026, outlining:

“Kaytlin is a player the club has followed for a few years now at academy level and also for the first team since we have joined the league. What impressed me most about her is her maturity and self-awareness not to mention her ability on the football and to have got her in I am sure she will showcase that to the blues fans throughout the season.

She comes into our group knowing many of the players but throughout pre-season she has connected well with all the squad and has been working extremely hard to show that she can compete at this level having now got the opportunity. As with any young player there is still lots for Kaytlin to improve on and working alongside myself and the staff we are confident that over the long-term Kaytlin will prove to be a brilliant addition for Waterford FC.

I am looking forward to seeing her kick on now and enjoy playing in the RSC and I think her flexibility with regards to where she can play will also offer Kaytlin another dimension to her game.”
