Waterford FC are also delighted to confirm Hillary Dumevi will remain a Blue for 2026, re-signing with the club ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season.

Hillary made the step-up to our Women’s First-Team last summer whilst recovering from her ACL injury she sustained in 2024.

Dumevi, who joins her sister Stephanie as our latest re-signings, joined the Blues’ academy from Tramore AFC, as she became a regular in the Blues’ defence across our WU17 & WU19s as she remains with our senior side for 2026.

Known for her strong tackling and excellent reading of the game. Hillary adds further to Gary Hunt’s side for the upcoming season, becoming our 20th player announced ahead of the season kick-off this Saturday at home to Wexford FC.

Hillary is delighted to be back with the Blues for 2026, saying:

“It feels really good to be back in with Gary and the girls again. A new season and fresh mindset. It’s great to be back again and doing what I love.

Everyone’s been working really hard and there’s been a really good feeling around the squad. We’re definitely looking forward to the season ahead and giving everything on the pitch. Hopeful for a big year for us all and a season to remember.”

Waterford FC Head Coach Gary Hunt is looking forward to working closely with Dumevi for the year ahead, mentioning:

“Returning for 2026 for Hillary is a great opportunity for her to showcase her potential after returning from a long term injury last summer. Joining her sister last year in the first team squad but not getting to feature together I am sure this will be something that motivates Hillary to return to the levels she was at pre-Injury.

Now she can get a full pre-season under her I am sure together with the staff we can work closely with her to realise this potential on the pitch but at the same time understanding the process to getting there is not a straight line.

Knowing Hillary and her mindset I know this is something she will meet head on and she will do everything she can to get back performing on the pitch to the best of her ability.”
