Fresh from our impressive win over Sligo Rovers FC last Friday night at the RSC, the Blues now turn their attention to the welcome of reigning champions Shamrock Rovers to our home ground this coming Friday, in our latest SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division meeting with the Hoops.
Pádraig Amond grabbed the headlines for the Blues on Friday night, scoring his second hat-trick for Waterford as Graham Coughlan’s side picked up an important set of maximum points with a commanding 4-0 win over Sligo at the RSC.
Jorgen Voilas also found his name on the Blues scoresheet, finding the back of the net a mere 36-seconds after entering the field of play as a second-half substitute, along with setting up Amond’s hat-trick goal to seal a memorable performance at the RSC.
Now the Blues host the current league leaders in our second home fixture since the resumption of the League of Ireland season following the mid-season break last week.
Kick-off at the RSC on Friday night (19th June) is at 7:45pm.
