What Do We Do?

Waterford FC in the Community work with a various groups in the community with the goal of making a positive impact on people’s lives. Our Community work involves several programmes, covering Health and Wellbeing, Poverty, Football for All, Social Inclusion, and making matchdays more inclusive.

Waterford FC in the Community is proudly supported by Healthy Ireland.

Our Highlights

  • First League of Ireland club to implement an autism-friendly matchday experience
  • First League of Ireland club to have a permanent dedicated Quiet Room available at every home game
  • Waterford FC ASD Football Friends weekly initiative, which helps children in their personal development and create a comfortable environment to engage and learn football skills for kids on the autism spectrum aged 6 to 16.
  • Developed a 5-year Football Social Responsibility strategy
  • Launched a monthly publication called ‘Blue Army’
  • Started our first-ever Down Syndrome Futsal team
