It is with our deepest sympathies that we have learned of the sad passing of Michael Hayes the Fixtures Manager of our league. Michael was a lifelong Blues fan hailing from St Johns Park and a tireless worker for our Club for many years before he left to move on to a senior role in the FAI. Through all the struggles of Waterford United and on to the next chapter of waterford FC under the Lee Powers era, Michael has always been at the end of the phone with solid advice and clarity on any issue for all our secretaries past and present and myself. His knowledge of the rules and regs were limitless and he will be sorely missed by the nationwide football family.
