The Blues were forced to share the spoils in the last round of fixtures as Bray Wanderers battled back to overturn a two-goal deficit, before our away clash with Treaty United was postponed due to an unplayable pitch in the Markets Field.
Goals from Seamas Keogh and Filip Da Silva gave Dave Roger’s side a two-goal cushion but two goals from Jack Doherty saw the Donegal forced to share points.
The sides last meeting came back in 2021 when 10-man Waterford cruised to a 4-1 win in the RSC.
The Blues currently sit in 5th place in the league standing on eight points, while Finn Harps occupy 7th place on six points.
From The Dugout: Speaking ahead of Friday’s match against Finn Harps, Head Coach Keith Long said:
“I want to try get off to a winning start. I’ve come in the day before the first match but I’ve been able to rely on Brian, Gary and David and their knowledge of the players.
“I’ll be looking for a really good performance tomorrow night; if we do that we give ourselves a really good chance.
“We want to try put a sequence of good results together starting on Friday.”
Team News: Matthew Connor continues to miss out through injury.
