Waterford FC is delighted to announce the signing of Cameron Cresswell.

The talented attacking player joins the Blues, pending international clearance, having spent the second half of last season with IK Start in Norway’s OBOS-ligaen, making 26 appearances for the club.

The 23-year-old previously spent time with Derby County, scoring 30+ goals for the club’s Premier League 2 and U18 Premier League teams before his move to Norway.

Cameron played for the Blues in last week’s friendly match against Fleetwood Town.

Speaking to WaterfordFC.ie, Cameron said:

“I’m really excited to sign here and excited to get started. I had some time out injured but I’m back now and I’ll be pushing to get into the team, and I think I can score some goals.

“It’s mid season now and I’m working on getting my sharpness up so I’m hoping to come into the team and make an impact straight away.

“It’s a strong squad with lots of quality. The club is doing well but there’s still work to be done with Keith and the coaching staff, so I’m looking forward to competing every day in training and fighting for a place in the team.”
