Waterford FC is delighted to announce that Adam Queally has signed a long-term contract with the club.
The 17-year-old defender has come through the club’s Academy from Under-13.
Adam has captained the Blues underage teams and has been capped at underage international level for the Republic of Ireland.
Head of Academy, Mike Geoghegan, said:
“Adam joined the Academy as a 12 year old in 2019 from Southend United. He has captained our Under-15s and then Under-17s for the last three years and has led the team to currently being 2nd in the Under-17 Elite Phase and into a cup semi final. He is training with the first team on a daily basis and has been in matchday squads for the past number of weeks.
“Adam was capped by the Republic of Ireland at Under-16 and travelled to the Under-18 international camp last week. He is a quick, talented centre half who leads his team by word and example. I am delighted to see him sign his first contract.”
