Waterford FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Forristal as the Fan Experience Officer.

Alan, a life-long Blues fan, is well-known across the footballing community within Waterford city and county – being involved with his local club Johnville FC as well as a number of footballing committees and boards.

This newly created role is focused on improving the overall fan experience for all Blues fans. Alan will work closely with the team in all departments of the club to ensure that the fan experience is both positive and consistently improving.

Speaking on his appointment, Alan said: “As a fan of the club all my life, to have the opportunity to create positive engagement with our fans and improve the overall fan experience with our wonderful club is an opportunity, I couldn’t turn down. Having been involved in supporters club committees and being a regular in Block E from a young age, I have experienced all facets of the WFC fan experience, both the positives and the negatives. My aim here is to build on the positive and work alongside Marc and the team, the BSC, Block E, West Waterford Blues and all other members of our fan base in bringing our Fan Experience to the next level.. Starting with Friday’s game against Treaty!”

Club Operations Officer Marc O’Donovan-Wyatt is delighted to have Alan on board: “Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of what it truly means be a fan of Waterford FC. He understands the culture, the history and has experienced the areas of where we as a club, need to improve. Alan will play a prominent role in bringing all elements of the fan experience to the next level and we’re excited to get going right away.”
