Another busy week here at Waterford Football Club, with a range of initiatives, events & games happening throughout week. Here’s a run-through of what’s happening over the next seven days:

TUESDAY

ASD Football Friends

Our weekly ASD Football Friends training session continues this Tuesday in Ozier Park. With the programme open to everyone aged 6 to 16 on the autism spectrum, why not join us for an hour of fun & enjoyment with plenty of other Blues supporters!

THURSDAY

Walking Football

Our weekly Walking Football session takes place this coming Thursday (15th August) in Butler Community Centre from 11am until 12pm. With refreshments afterwards kindly donated by the Blues Supporters Club, why not join the group for an hour of (competitive!) football whilst sharing your Blues memories together!

Pre-Match Media – Athlone Town AFC (H)

Pre-match build up to Friday’s Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Third Round clash at home to Athlone Town AFC will be spread across our social media channels this Thursday, as we preview the big game!

Interviews with some of our first-team players, along with quotes & team news from Head Coach Keith Long will get the Blues fans in the perfect mood ahead of the game on Friday evening.

Tramore Race Day

It’s racing week at Tramore Racecourse, as Waterford FC sponsor a race on the opening day of the prestigious racing event. With the gates open from 3:30pm, the Blues’ sponsored race gets underway at 6:15pm, it promises to be an event not to be missed. Purchase your tickets HERE for the event.

FRIDAY

First-Team: Waterford FC vs Athlone Town AFC

The Blues welcome Athlone Town AFC to the RSC this Friday, in their Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Third Round tie. After defeating Cockhill Celtic FC in the Second-Round, the Blues will look to reach the quarter-final stage of this years competition by getting past the visit of First Division outfit Athlone Town on Friday.

Kick-off at the RSC is at 7:45pm, with tickets available to be purchased HERE!

SATURDAY

Academy Fixtures – MU20, WU17 & MU15

Three academy games taking place on Saturday, kicking off with our MU20 side who make the short journey to take on Wexford FC in their MU20 Tier One clash (3pm).

Our WU17s host Shamrock Rovers at SETU Arena in a 2pm kick-off on Saturday afternoon in their WU17 Tier One tie, whilst our MU15s are away to Bray Wanderers in their MU15 Tier Two clash (2pm).

SUNDAY:

Academy Fixtures – WU19, MU17 & MU14

Our WU19s side made the journey to Athlone Town Stadium on Sunday lunchtime to take on Athlone Town AFC in the 1uarter-final of the LOI Academy WU19 Cup in a 1pm kick-off.

Meanwhile our MU17s make the journey south to take on Cobh Ramblers in their MU17 Tier Two clash (3pm kick-off), with our MU14s also facing Cobh at the same time in Stephen Ireland astro as they kick-off their MU14 LOI Group A Phase 2 campaign.
