Waterford FC are also delighted to announce the re-signing of goalkeeper Mollie Levingston ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.

An academy graduate of our Waterford FC Academy, Mollie made her senior debut for the club against Shamrock Rovers last September, saving a penalty just minutes into her debut.

Levingston heads into her fourth year as a Blue having joined from her schoolgirls club in Courtown Hibs FC in Wexford.

The Gorey native continued through our academy set up with our WU17s & WU19s whilst earning a place in Gary Hunt’s squad in 2025 as number two to Maeve Williams.

Still only 19 years of age, the shot-stopper becomes our sixth player re-signed ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division campaign, with Maeve Williams, Fiana Bradley, Mia Lenihan, Olivia Shannon & Meadhbh Doherty already re-signed for 2026.

Speaking to the Blues ahead of the start of 2026, Mollie is looking forward to building on from last year’s experience, saying:

“I’m really excited to be in the squad again this season. It was a great experience being involved last year, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in 2026 as a group”.

Blues Head Coach Gary Hunt is looking forward to having Mollie’s development continue at the club:

“As part of the goalkeeping unit, Mollie has been excellent around the group and works so hard under the guidance of Goalkeeper coach Kevin Burns while also training alongside Meave and other emerging goalkeepers in the club.

Her efforts last season weren’t reflected in the minutes she got but those efforts come from the standards set by Meave as our number one, which is a fantastic environment to train & play in. I think Mollie is now ready to challenge to play and while still young can handle all that the role of Goalkeeper brings.

We want to work with our young talents so in the seasons to come these experiences will only be beneficial to them all, Mollie included.”

Welcome Back, Mollie!

Mollie Levingston’s Player Sponsorship is now available for 2026. Contact Waterford FC Commercial Manager Tony Kelly at tony.kelly@waterfordfc.ie to find out more.
