MATCH REPORT: Bohemian FC 0-0 Waterford FC

Gary Hunt made three changes for our trip to Dalymount Park, with Stephanie Dumevi returning to the starting-eleven, whilst Lauren Egbuloniu & Chloe Atkinson both make their first starts of the 2026 season after lengthy injuries for the duo up until this point.

Lisa Murphy had the first effort of the game inside the opening five minutes for the hosts, seeing her effort from Aoibhe Brennan’s corner deflect wide as the Blues defence started the game strongly.

On 16′, the Blues had their first half-chance of the action after good play from Fiana Bradley saw the ball fall to Mia Lenihan who looked to let fly, only to see her effort blocked with the second ball cleared by Murphy in the Bohemians defence.

Both sides shared possession without threatening either goalmouth in the middle stage of the first-half, before Maeve Williams was called into action to deny Hannah O’Brien from close-range after O’Brien got on the end of Katie Malone’s cross from the right.

Moments later, Savannah Kane almost got the opener getting on the end of Aoibhe Brennan’s cross, only for Kane’s effort to be excellently saved by Maeve Williams at her near post to maintain her clean sheet. Moments later, Hannah Healy had an effort from distance for the hosts that flew high over Williams’ crossbar, in what as the last meaningful piece of action as the sides went in level at the break.

On 57′, Katie Malone produced the best opportunity of the game for the hosts, firing her effort from 18-yards back off Maeve Williams’ left-hand post, as the Blues were relieved to see the second ball cleared.

Ten minutes later, Chloe Atkinson saw her cross from the left fly narrowly over Rachael Kelly’s crossbar, as the Blues continued to threaten for that opening goal.

Aoibhe Brennan found space outside the Waterford area on 89′ but saw her effort fly high over Maeve Williams crossbar, as both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils in Dublin.
